Hood River and its surrounding areas offer some fantastic opportunities for dirt biking and off-highway vehicle (OHV) enthusiasts. Here's an interactive map and a list of spots to check out:

1. Pine Mont Trail System (Hood River County East Side Trail System)

These trails are known for being more dry, as they're on the east side of Hood River.

2. Post Canyon (Hood River West Side Trail System)

This trail system is multi-use. There are three options for parking here; Post Flats parking area, Kingley Reservoir parking and camping area, and Binns Hill parking area.

3. Mt. Adams Recreation Area (North of Hood River)

For a more adventurous ride, head north towards Mount Adams in Washington. The Mount Adams Recreation Area offers some more challenging terrain, with an extensive network of forest roads and trails that are great for off-road vehicles. This area offers a mix of open ridgelines, forested paths, and volcanic terrain, perfect for dirt biking, snowmobiling, and OHV exploration.

4. Bennett Pass SnoPark

Great for early winter-season recreating, Bennett pass offers mushing/skijoring, XCskiing/snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. On heavy snowfall years, snowmobiles will not be able to access the Terrible Traverse area because it fills with snow due to the high elevation and steep canyon walls.

5. Little John SnoPark and Campground

Open to campers from about May-October every year, Little John becomes a heavily used SnoPark in the winter. Equipped with a warming shelter, information board, and vault toilet, the sno park is open to sledding and tubing, mushing and skijoring, XC skiing and snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.
